Caricatures from photos

John Martin trained as an Architect and ran his own practice for 20 years during which time he undertook any commission requiring a line drawn on paper.

This often resulted in 3D architectural presentations, graphic design of brochures, publications and technical information.

Although his Father was a Slade Scholar, a respected fine artist and his art master at school. John Martin’s skills lay more in draughtsmanship. In his spare time John edited magazines for Round Table, winning national and international rewards, and more recently for Rotary Clubs. This involved the whole process of composition, layout and graphic design, cartoons and caricatures.

One off commissions soon followed for magazine illustration, caricatures and graphic design and now, since retiring from architecture, John offers his artistic skills to a wider market.
